PIER Strategic Training

Learn how to effectively use PIER throughout your organization.

PIER Strategic Training (formerly PIER Certification Training) will teach you everything you need to know to effectively use the PIER System to communicate with stakeholders during crises, major disasters and throughout daily operations.

Through three days of hands-on training, participants will learn how to take a leading role in effectively implementing PIER throughout their organization to manage successful two-way communication flow through multiple modes including social media. Strategize plans by reviewing best practices of leading organizations and test the workflow in a tabletop drill. Leave with in-depth knowledge of the PIER System prepared to communicate during any event, incident or crisis.

Those completing the program will:

  • Gain the ability to take a lead role in effectively implementing PIER throughout their organization.
  • Participate in valuable discussions with peers from major corporations and leading organizations.
  • Receive a free one-year subscription for a personal PIER site to use for on-going training.

Please note: this course is designed for PIER users who posses at minimum, a basic knowledge and understanding of PIER functionality. If you are concerned that you don't have enough basic PIER training, consider attending our PIER User Webinars prior to PIER Strategic Training or contact us.

Strategy—Learn how leading organizations solve communication challenges using PIER. Overview of Best Practices with in-depth discussion on specific challenges and uses of interest to the group.

In-depth PIER Training—Translate best practices to practical application and execution in PIER including inquiry management, contact management, website design and content control, permissions and access levels, reporting, forms, social media integration and interactive communication management.

Development—Learn about new releases and our development road map. Provide direct input, submit ideas and identify new opportunities.
